Latch On

​

Latch-On is a four module literacy programme offered to adults with an intellectual disability. The programme is taught twice weekly over two years by a qualified teacher who has been accredited to teach the programme. The teacher is assisted by two tutors. The maximum class size is 12 students. Click here for more information.

Here I Am

​

​Here I Am is an Initiative between DS Kerry and our Main Branch DSI. The book, which perfectly captures each individual’s personality and shows that these kids are children first and foremost, has been a labour of love for photographer Dan Murphy over the past two years. Cookery Classes

​

Down Syndrome Kerry Branch Believe in making our members as independent as possible. Being able to cook is a basic necessity and often taken for granted! Our classes teach our members the importance of nutrition, how to cook and how to buy ingredients! 

 

Our classes take place in Listowel.

Our new charity shop has two main aims, raise vital funds for the branch and provide essential retail experience for our members.

PROJECTS

DS Kerry Parent & Toddler 

​

DS Kerry provides two parents and toddler groups, one in Killarney and one in Listowel. The aims of the groups are to provide a secure place for parents and toddlers to meet and share experiences and ideas in an environement that is fun and informative

Deenach Lodge

​

​Our tea rooms at Deenagh Lodge reopened for business at Easter. We have some new young adults who will commence their training at the lodge this summer and wish them every success along with our existing group.
